Youth IGF Nepal is a national initiative of young people in Nepal that aims to promote awareness and understanding of Internet governance issues among young people. The initiative is part of the larger Youth Internet Governance Forum (Youth IGF) movement, which aims to provide a platform for young people to engage in discussions and decision-making related to Internet governance.
Youth IGF Nepal organizes annual events, such as the Youth Internet Governance Forum Nepal (YIGF Nepal), which brings together young people from diverse backgrounds to discuss and exchange ideas on Internet governance issues. The initiative also conducts research and advocacy activities to raise awareness and influence policy on Internet governance in Nepal.
Youth IGF Nepal’s fellowship program helps to ensure that young people from different backgrounds and regions of Nepal have equal opportunities to participate in the Youth IGF Nepal events and engage in discussions on Internet governance issues. This is important because Internet governance has far-reaching implications for society and the economy, and it is important that young people’s perspectives and experiences are taken into account in decision-making processes related to the Internet.
Next generation leaders who want equipped with the knowledge and skills to participate in the internet governance Process are highly encouraged to apply. Only people residing outside of Kathmandu valley are eligible to apply.
